Food, philosophy and lifestyle will be on the menu next month at a celebration of all things vegan in West London.

Caterers and distinguished figures from the world of veganism are set to descend upon Olympia London for the VegfestUK London festival on 23 and 24 October.

Twenty caterers from all corners of the globe will be highlighting the huge range of vegan food available today by serving up sushi, pad thais, Chinese stir-fries, Caribbean stews and more.

“Vegan events like this present an excellent opportunity for cultures from across the globe to unite in a celebration of food, music, philosophy and lifestyle,” said VegfestUK organisers.

Aside from the food, the festival will see a diverse collection of speakers and social justice campaigners address problems such as privilege, discrimination and oppression at the festival’s inaugural Pro-Intersectional Vegan Conference.

The speakers include Black Vegans Rock founder Aph Ko, Vegan Publishers staff writer Christopher-Sebastian McJetters, food justice activist Brenda Sanders and boxing and kickboxing champion Omowale Adewale.

In addition to the conference and the caterers, the whole event consists of 250 stalls, a Vegan Athletes Summit on the Saturday, a Vegan Health Summit, a Vegan Activists Summit, a ‘Mature Zone’, a ‘Teen Zone’, cookery demos, a living raw zone, as well as standup comedy, music and children’s activities.

“Our events have always been very inclusive and we’re lucky to live and work in some really tolerant and evolved communities in the UK,” the organisers added.
